Understanding Roles and Permissions
Ignis uses role-based access control to ensure each user sees only the features relevant to their responsibilities. Roles are assigned by your organization's administrator.
Customer-Facing Roles
| Role | Description |
|---|---|
| Test Taker | A candidate or participant whose only purpose is to complete assigned assessments. |
| Employee | A staff member who can be assigned assessments and view their own results. |
| Manager | A people leader who creates and manages assessments, manages direct reports, and reviews results. |
| Recruiter | A hiring specialist with access to hiring assessments only (no talent development access). |
| Company Admin | An organizational administrator with access to all manager features plus user and administrator management. |
| Executive | A senior leader with broad visibility across the organization. |
Effect on Navigation
Your role determines which tabs appear in the navigation bar and which actions are available within each page. If a feature you expect to use is missing, contact your Company Admin to update your role.
