When Time Runs Out

Each activity has a time limit. When the timer reaches zero, the activity ends.

What Happens at Timeout

• The conversation closes and you can no longer send responses.
• All responses you submitted before timeout are preserved and will be scored.
• A timeout indicator confirms that time has expired.

Requesting Additional Time

If your assessment configuration allows it, an option to request additional time may appear when the timer expires. Use this only if you genuinely need more time — it cannot be undone.

Returning to the Session

After timeout, you return to the session detail view, where the activity will be marked as Complete (if all items were addressed) or Incomplete.
