The science behind the assessment.

The Power Skills model isn't a product hypothesis. It's the output of two decades of applied research in computational psychometrics, AI-enabled assessment, and human capability measurement, validated across more than 100,000 individual profiles in 70+ countries.

Measuring Creativity in the Age of Generative AI

This work examines how AI can be used to assess creative thinking skills in the context of an increasingly AI-enabled workplace. The research was presented at the BIG.AI@MIT Conference and addresses a central challenge in modern assessment: how to measure a fundamentally human capability (creative thinking) in an environment where AI tools can do the heavy lifting on many cognitive tasks.

The findings inform the Creative Thinking component of the Ignis AI PowerSkillsPrint™ and shape how the platform distinguishes human-generated creative insight from AI-assisted output.

Mission-Ready Leadership and Creative Thinking

This body of work examines how Power Skills (and in particular leadership and creative thinking) predict mission readiness in high-stakes operational environments. The research was developed in collaboration with the U.S. Air Force and presented at the Military Operations Research Society symposium at the U.S. Air Force Academy.

It represents one of the most rigorous real-world deployments of the Power Skills framework, validating the assessment methodology in contexts where the cost of mismeasurement is measurable and consequential.

From Measurement to Action: Deploying Power Skills Assessment in L&D Contexts

This peer-reviewed study examines how organizations can move from skills measurement to developmental action: the design and evaluation of assessment-informed L&D programs that use Power Skills data to target interventions and track progress over time.

The research was conducted in partnership with Arizona State University and presented at the Learning and Education Research Network. It directly underpins the before-and-after measurement capability that distinguishes Ignis from point-in-time assessment tools.
